MapIt™ Services: MapIt™ Optical Mapping Services
OpGen began providing MapIt Optical Mapping Services as a commercial laboratory in 2004. Optical Mapping Technology is used today in diverse applications in the areas of clinical and food microbiology, epidemiology, pharmacology, manufacturing quality control and applied research.
MapIt Optical Mapping Services is a limited services business and is available for specific microbial projects on a by-quotation basis. MapIt Services may be ordered by contacting Customer Support to obtain a MapIt Quote for your project. Additionally, sample preparation methods for your specific isolates will also be provided to you in preparation for shipment to OpGen’s MapIt Laboratory.
An OpGen MapIt Sample Transport Kit designed to meet all regulatory requirements for the transport of biological and/or infectious substances will be provided to every Customer at no charge. Packing and Shipping Instructions are included as well as all forms and labeling for shipping all types of microbial specimens.
MapIt Services Provide:
- Sample preparation methods for your specific microbial isolates
- MapIt Data Disc containing whole genome physical maps for each isolate
- Comparative analysis using similarity clustering (if applicable)
- Comparison to publically available sequence data or project specific sequence contigs (if applicable)
- Proprietary MapSolver™ Optical Map analysis software (Install Disc)
