MapIt® Services

Providing commercial mapping services since 2004, OpGen’s experienced service team applies MapIt® single-molecule mapping technology across diverse applications in clinical and food microbiology, epidemiology, pharmacology, manufacturing quality control, and basic and applied research.

MapIt® Services for microbial isolates provide:

  • Sample preparation methods for your specific microbial isolates
  • MapIt® Data Disc containing whole genome physical maps for each isolate
  • Comparative analysis using similarity clustering (if applicable)
  • Comparison to publically available sequence data or project-specific sequence contigs (if applicable)

New in October, 2011: Expanded MapIt® Services now include OpGen’s human, animal, and plant Super-scaffold assembly application to support improved assembly for larger genomes greater than 100Mb.  Contact OpGen Customer Support to discuss your project.

MapIt® Quotes

MapIt® Services are available for microbial samples as well as larger genomes with a project-specific quote . Get started by contacting Customer Support  or completing the online quote request  to get a MapIt® Quote for your project.  Our experienced staff will discuss your project needs and detail the timeline expectations for the project completion.

Sample Prep and Transport

Sample preparation methods for your specific isolates will be provided to assist in preparing samples for shipment to OpGen’s MapIt® Services Laboratory.

A sample transport kit designed to meet all regulatory requirements for the transport of biological and/or infectious substances is provided for our customers at no charge.  Packing and shipping instructions are included, with forms and labeling for shipping all types of specimens.

Support and Order Tracking

OpGen’s Customer Support staff can assist you with any questions or concerns, drawing on our depth of experience across Whole Genome Mapping applications, sample preparation and shipping procedures.

A MapIt® Order Number will be provided for referencing your order. We ask that you include this number in all correspondence about your project.
