Important to Know
- MapIt® Services are available for specific microbial projects and large genome samples with a customer quote; please complete the request and provide detailed project information in the online quote request form, or contact OpGen Customer Service
- Microbial Safety Level Classification must be BSL-1 or BSL-2. For microbes otherwise classified, you must provide signed documentation as proof that only non-viable microbes are shipped to OpGen; we will provide the protocol for rendering cells non-viable
- DNA sample submission is on a case-by-case basis; please let us know of your special needs. Because ultra-long length DNA of 200Kb is required for Whole Genome Mapping, for optimal results your microbial samples are prepared and processed by OpGen MapIt® Services
- For comparative genomics, Whole Genome Maps within the same species are compared. Cross-species comparisons are helpful for discovering potential microbial misclassifications but are otherwise not usually performed
