Our scientists have experience extracting high molecular weight DNA from a wide range of organisms. Simply send us fresh cells (i.e. glycerol stocks) along with a completed Sample Submission Form to begin the mapping process. Upon completion of the order, OpGen will return appropriate material at the request of the customer.
Special Circumstances
Some organisms require specialized equipment or expertise for proper handling while others, such as select agents, require specific licensing. In these situations, the customer should prepare the DNA. An example of a sample preparation procedure can be found here.
Sending Samples to OpGen
1. If preparing the DNA yourself...
- Be sure to use Low Melting Temperature Agarose
- To send at least 4 plugs per isolate or organism, each contained in 0.5 M EDTA pH 9.5
2. Complete the Sample Submission Form and include it with your samples (forms are available once an order has been received).
