Dr. Theo deVos is Managing Director and CEO of Ares Genetics – an OpGen group company. He joined Ares Genetics as Senior Vice President Corporate Development and Operations (US) in January 2022. Prior to Ares Genetics he held the position of Senior VP Scientific Affairs & Operations at Epigenomics Inc. At Epigenomics he worked on the discovery of DNA methylation markers for different indications in oncology, the development of cell free DNA IVDs for cancer screening and the PMA approval, as well as coding, coverage, and commercialization of the tests.
Theo obtained his Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Manitoba and in his post-doctoral position focused on the molecular genetics of Leishmania and Trypanosomes at Seattle Biomedical Research Institute.
